Irides backup uses equipment and software from leading data protection providers to safeguard your business-critical information.
- All servers are built with dual NIC cards
- All backups are performed on a 1GB dedicated backend network
- Backups performed by EMC2 Legato Networker software
- Power Vault 132T SDLT SAN is the centralized tape library, as opposed to dedicated systems for each client
- Tape library control and management is offloaded to dedicated backup infrastructure servers
- Daily incremental and weekly full backups
- Predictable recovery times for data restored from tape
- Sustained file-level backup speeds of 10.1 TB per hour, with sustained data restore speed of 4.5 TB per hour
- Clients with MS SQL server databases are responsible for creating a flat file of the database in a specific directory
- Clients with Oracle databases will need to provide scripts to perform hot or cold backups
- Backup tapes are kept on site for 30 days
- After 30 days tapes are shipped off-site to a secure facility for an additional 60 days and then recycled
- Copies of tapes can be shipped to clients in multiple formats (Super DLT-1, CD, or DVD)
